There is still reason for Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo, Mikael Daez and the rest of the cast of their primetime show to celebrate since My Faithful Husband is trending on social media. During the soap's premiere on August 10, it is one of the top 10 trending topics nationwide and has trended numerous times on Twitter during their next episodes.
Directed by seasoned filmmaker Joyce Bernal, the soap veers away from the usual mistress plot. Breaking the stereotypes of a masculine society, Jennylyn Mercado's character Mel Fernandez-Dela Paz is a cheating wife to her overly understanding husband Emman who is being portrayed by Dennis Trillo. Mikael Daez as Dean Montenegro is the third party in the love plot.
"Proud kami dito kasi iba naman talaga siya. Sa totoong buhay di naman talaga ang lalaki lang ang nagkakamali. Minsan, ang mga babae din," Jennylyn added. The actress is also traversing a sensitive route for this role since she is among the celebrity representatives of women's rights group Gabriela. She emphasized later on the importance of her role to teach women to be loyal to the relationships they're in.

Jennylyn has just completed shooting her movie "The Prenup" with Sam Milby and is scheduled for a back-to-back appearance at the Metro Manila Film Festival with JM de Guzman in "Walang Forever". It has been confirmed as well that she and Derek Ramsay will do a sequel of the surprise blockbuster hit "English Only Please".
Jennylyn is also one of the judges of the new season of Starstruck, alongside Regine Velasquez and Joey de Leon. "First time ko mag judge but I am excited kasi alam ko how it is to be a contestant." She only has one word to describe when told that she is considered the most successful Starstruck alumnus, "Thankful."
Lost count with the number of soap operas this talented guy made but Dennis said there is always something new in every role. He reunites with Jennylyn Mercado as the faithful one in My Faithful Husband.
