Diego Loyzaga to Kiko Estrada on realistic fight scenes in ‘Totoy Bato’: “Laging lumulusot eh!”

TV5’s primetime offering ‘Totoy Bato’ will air its finale episode on Friday, April 24, but not without a funny spat between its lead cast Kiki Estrada and Diego Loyzaga.

At the media conference for the finale episode, Diego Loyzaga revealed how he and Kiki would sometimes make the fight scenes real. “Malaki ang hinanakit ko dito Kay Kiko. Laging lumulusot eh,” he shared.

Last taping namin, naisahan ako sa tenga. Ito naman sabi: “Bro, bro, bro, sorry”. (Sabi ko) “Ituloy mo na. Let’s go!” Pero totoo, madami ako natutunan Kay Kiko kasi medyo ako mahina ako sa choreo. Parang sa yaw ‘yan eh. Kunyare someone will forget the steps, tatama talaga,” Diego narrated.

In the series which spanned for almost a year, Kiko plays Totoy Bato Monte who is always at odds with antagonist Dwayne Perez who is being played by Diego Loyzaga. Theirs have been the most intense fight scenes hoping to draw the action-excited TV watchers to their show.

While the fight scenes become intense, Kiko also has some strong feelings upon ending the show, noting that it is a legacy for him to play a role that was once played by his idols. The late Fernando Poe Jr. portrayed the role in 1977 and 1979 and Robin Padilla debuted the iconic character on TV via the 2009 GMA 7 series. Kiko’s very own grandfather, Paquito Diaz was critical in the big screen versions. This is why he consider this a turning point in his young showbiz career; a legacy.

Joining Kiko and Diego in the cast are Eula Valdez, Cindy Miranda, Mon Confiado, Nonie Buencamino, Lester Lansang and Andrew Muhlach, with Claudine Barretto, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Janna Gibbs, Kean Cipriano, Marlo Mortel and adding more characters as the show progressed.

For the cast, the exciting finale is something that audiences should look forward to, noting the sacrifices that they have to endure to end the show well.

The finale will be aired at 8PM on Friday, April 24, on TV5.
