Last Saturday, Yaya Dub's wedding with Frankie Arinoli set a record in number of tweets for local celebrities after #AlDubAgainstAllOdds registered 2.5 million mentions. Every day since then, it was so easy for the phenomenal AlDub team-up to surpass the one million mark.
And this Saturday, another record was broken by the duo after they reached over 3 million tweets. It was around 9 PM when AlDub fan groups announced that they surpassed the 3 million count. Before the end of Saturday, August 29, however, #AlDubMaiDenHeaven actually tallied 3.5 million mentions. This is a new Twitter record for a local show, love team or a local celebrity.
Fans just can't get enough that even if there is no Eat Bulaga! on a Sunday, ALDUB BLESSED SUNDAY is still the number one trending topic as of this writing. Dubsmash queen turned phenomenal TV personality Maine Mendoza shows her appreciation to their fans by posting a fun Dubsmash video on her Twitter account.
