Fans of Asian Drama will have something to look forward to as Japanese drama series "Amachan" is scheduled to be aired on TV5 this October.
In huge launch at the Palace Pool Club in Bonifacio Global City yesterday, August 17, Japan International Broadcasting sealed the contract with TV5 for Amachan's airing in the Philippines. Japan International Broadcasting or JIB is a subsidiary of the of huge Japanese public network NHK.
Amachan is a 2013 drama about Aki Amano, a high school student who returns from Tokyo to the Tohoku Region to work as a driver and ending up being a local idol or locodol just before the Great East Japan Earthquake. The drama, produced by NHK for its asadora (morning drama) block has been popular in Japan, especially with its lead's line "jejeje" and other phrases. The series has also been aired in Taiwan and Thailand.
Watch out for Amachan in October 2015 only on TV5.
Japanese Drama "Amachan" is officially with TV5 and will be aired on October 2015. The grand contract signing is held at the Palace Pool Club last August 17.
Japan International Broadcasting, a subsidiary of the giant NHK, seals the deal with TV5. This signals the start of more Tagalized Japanese shows to air on TV5.
