He is the half Filipino, half Aussie singer who made it to the Top 12 (Top 11 after the first live show) of the latest and seventh season of X Factor Australia.
There is no stopping the Filipino talent. Isn't it only last season of the same talent show that Filipino Marlisa Punzalan was declared champion?
To know more about this latest internet singing sensation, we stalked his own YouTube channel and Instagram page. We found out that this talented Pinoy-Aussie is just 18 years old and is living in Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia with his Filipino father and Australian mother.
For his audition, he sang The Weeknd's "Earned It" which earned a standing ovation from all four judges including singer-songwriter Dannii Minogue, singer James Blunt, the first Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian and his eventual mentor, American rock singer, Chris Isaak.
Since then, it was a smooth sailing ride for Cyrus until he reached the Top 12. At last Sunday's first live show, he performed his original rendition of Justin Bieber's hit "Boyfriend" which was also well-received by the judges.
