Continuing the tradition of Star for a Night and Search for a Star which are won by Sarah Geronimo and Rachelle Ann Go, respectively, Viva Entertainment produces another singing reality show on national TV, Born To Be A Star. It will be aired on TV5 every Saturday beginning January 26th.
In a generation of seasonal reality shows and dynamic formats, Born To Be A Star will stick to the old format. One weekly winner will be chosen and all the weekly winners will compete for the monthly finals. The monthly champion will proceed to the grand finals. The show will run for 12 months with the grand finals set in December 2016.
Ogie Alcasid will host the show together with Mark Bautista and Viva's newest princess Yassi Pressman. The judges panel, meanwhile, will be composed of rapper Andrew E, acoustic artist Aiza Seguerra, rock singer Ely Buendia and pop diva Pops Fernandez.
