In what could be the most welcomed twist of the unpredictable KalyeSerye, the show will go live from the huge Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan next Saturday, October 24. Eat Bulaga's hosts announced in earlier's episode that all AlDub fans, collectively called the AlDub Nation, are invited to the ticketed event with 100% of the proceeds to support the AlDub Library Project which aims to build libraries in public schools nationwide.
Lola Nidora (Wally Bayola) presented her big surprise to the hit tandem who just came from an event held in Cebu. She announced that the "Tamang Panahon" she's been saying for the past three months of the AlDub craze will finally arrive on October 24. It is the day when she finally allows Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, a.k.a Yaya Dub, to finally meet without some of the rules she previously set. This means that Alden and Maine can finally come near each other, hold hands and talk face to face.
After weeks of speaking in limited phrases, Lola Tinidora (Jose Manalo) also hinted that Yaya Dub maybe able to speak normally. With the announcement, Alden rushed to the audience area in Broadway to dance with the live viewers.
Ticket-selling for next Saturday's event immediately started after the announcement. Prices are in denominations of 1,200, 600, 350, and 150 pesos. The show's hosts then confirmed that 100% of the proceeds, or an estimated PhP30 million in ticket sales if all of the venue's 55,000 seats will be filled, will be used to build libraries in select public schools nationwide.
Some 30 minutes after the show went off-air, TicketWorld's website crashed, prompting fans to conclude that tickets could have been already sold out. Eat Bulaga also partnered with Robinsons Malls, Ayala Malls, Resorts World Manila and Eastwood Malls for ticket-selling. Joey de Leon, one of the noontime show's pioneering hosts, revealed that tickets will only be available until 6 PM today, October 17.
Lola Nidora then shared that KalyeSerye is not all about romance. "Hindi lang tayo puro kilig... Ang pinakaimportanteng pag-ibig ay ang pagmamahal sa kapwa," another great successful integration of valuable lessons which the show has been consistently doing one episode after the other.
Wally's already iconic character also emphasized that the hit Eat Bulaga segment is not all about breaking Twitter records. It also aims to showcase the Bayanihan spirit which is the main objective of KalyeSerye's mother segment, "All for Juan, Juan for All".
As of 4PM, the episode's hash tag has 4.08 million tweets. a far cry from the previous numbers the show produced. However, AlDub Nation is eyeing on breaking its own record of 25 million tweets during next week's grand episode.
