Professional commercial and ramp model and Albay beauty Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray is crowned Miss World Philippines 2016 at the full- packed Manila Hotel late night on Sunday, October 3, 2016. Catriona will represent the Philippines at the prestigious Miss World beauty pageant which will be held for the first time after a long time in the United States on December 18th.
The Bicolana beauty bested 23 other contestants in a fast-paced pageant hosted by Richard Gutierrez and former Miss World Philippines winners Gwendolyn Ruais and Queneerich Rehman. The pageant had a delayed airing on GMA 7 and was co-presented by VIVA Talents Management.

Catriona impressed the judges in the first round of Q&A when she was asked what she sees in the mirror when she wakes up everyday. "I see someone who is constantly trying to be better... I want to see someone who gives back to the community," the half-Filipina, half-Australian beauty said.
At the pageant night, the 22 year-old stunner swept 5 special awards: Miss Manila Hotel, Miss Hannah, Best in Fashion Runway, Best in Swimsuit, and Best in Evening Gown.
Catriona's skills set goes out of pageantry. She has a master certificate in Music Theory from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Aside from singing, the Bicolana beauty can also play guitar and has a black belt in Choi Kwang Do.
Completing the Miss World Philippines 2016 court are (#5) Arienne Louise Calingo as the First Princess, (#18) Ivana Kamil Pacis as the Second Princess, (#21) Marah Munoz as the Third Princess, and (#8) Sandra Lemonon as the Fourth Princess.
