What turns out to be a simple school requirement has grown to become a huge concert which will feature top OPM artists, and would aim to raise funds for hope. It will be held at the Ateneo de Manila University covered court on April 5.
The Ateneo de Manila University Junior High School Class 10 - Rodrigues, a class composed of 16 year-old students, spearheads the Katipunan Fund Drive (KFD.) Proceeds from ticket sales will be handed to the Jesuits group who are active in food programs and in providing support for calamity victims.
Ryan Nicolas, CEO of the organizing class, shares that he and his classmates are ready to mount this ambitious project. He narrates that it was a unanimous decision from his class to mount a charity concert, and in choosing the artists that they will include in the lineup.
Horizon, a Fundraising Concert for Hope, will feature Adie, the artist behind the hit songs “Paraluman” and “Manila”. He will be joined on stage by Filipino rock band Sunkissed Lola (“Pasilyo”).
The third artist is the girl group Calista. Anne, Dain, Elle and Denise, who have released their song “Race Car” in February 2022, are all excited to entertain the Horizon audience.
The members of the organizing committee aside from Ryan Nicolas, Jr., are Manuel Agpalasin, Jr. (Operations Head), Nicolo Madlambayan (Finance Head), Enzo Lopez (Marketing Head), Ezekiel Reyes (HR Head), Clark Bayani (Main Contact Person), JM Delos Santos (Event Secretary), Mason Hernandez (Sponsorship Head).
