Slowly transitioning from your typical rom-com to movies of national importance like "Honor Thy Father" and "Hele sa Hiwagang Hapis", award-winning young actor John Lloyd Cruz expressed optimism for the country's upcoming new administration. Speaking in front of the media at the launch of his new endorsement, Cruz said that the incoming President has "a lot of potential".
"It's a great opportunity noh, to deliver change," Cruz said, who added that he is excited to see what President-elect Rodrigo Duterte will do. "Right now I'm gonna sit back and observe... and watch. And I'm very excited! Totoo 'yun. I'm very excited to see what's in store for the Pinoy nation."
It can be recalled that Cruz is one of the many celebrities who chose not to endorse a particular candidate at the recent elections. John Lloyd also kept mum on who he actually voted at the last elections.
The "Just the 3 of Us" star, who just recently celebrated their PhP100 million 3-day gross with co-star Jennylyn Mercado, is the new face of Great Taste coffee. At the event in Crowne Plaza Galleria on Wednesday morning, May 11th, John Lloyd shared how close to his heart his new endorsement is since coffee is something he can't live without.
