How much PDA (Public Display of Affection) is allowed for celebrities. For Benjamin Alves, no one can set a limit especially for him and his 6-month real-life girlfriend Julie Anne San Jose.
"There's nothing to hide. Julie is not someone that you... You know someone you can be proud of, you know what I mean," says the Kapuso leading man who plays Ephraim Esquivel in the afternoon soap "Pinulot Ka Lang sa Lupa."
Ben revealed that he and Julie actually sat down to discuss how much of their relationship can they share on social media. "We had that conversation and it was a very matured conversation."
Ben also feels the need to share a portion of their romance to the fans. "We owe it to the fans. You know, they were the reason why we were given the show."
When asked how long is he and Julie together, the actor confirmed that they have been exclusive for more than half a year.
Ben will turn 27 on March 31 but celebrated his birthday in advance with selected fans at the Left Behind, tagged as the ultimate escape room experience, in Shaw Boulevard. The fans gifted Ben a collection of photos of him and Julie. Meanwhile, the actor joined his fans in taking the challenges in Left Behind.
When asked what he would like as a birthday gift from his girlfriend, "Julie is very thoughtful. I'm sure whatever she gives, or even just time or whatever, I'm fine. As long as she's there," he said. In the end, he gave a clue. "I like surprises... Ahhh, video games?"
