The Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB) has just given KathNiel's latest starrer "Can't Help Falling In Love" a B rating for quality which makes it an even more promising Black Saturday offering. The rom-com is poised to pile up viewers this very long weekend in over 300 cinemas nationwide.
(Watch out for the full review which will be published soon.)
The B rating is another milestone for one of the country's most in-demand teen love teams. But despite the massive successes of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, the two admitted during the second presscon for their movie that they're still now allowed to go out together alone.
"Hindi pa rin puwede na kaming dalawa lang po," Kathryn said when asked how they spend quality time together. Kathryn said that they often go out with friends.
Even with this limitation, Kathryn expressed that Daniel has nevertheless earned the trust of his parents over the years. "Siguro yung trust na 'yun, na-earn ni DJ over the years, sa 5 years na yun. Kaya puwedeng lumabas, manood ng movie, puwedeng umalis pero may mga kasamang mga friends. Which is good."
Asked if Daniel has to go through tough challenges to earn the trust of Kathryn's parents, Kathryn jokingly confirmed. "Tumulay ba sa alambre o lumakad ba si DJ sa apoy para makuha yung trust ng parents mo?", one reporter asked. Kathryn responded, "Opo. Hanggang ngayon po, tumutulay pa din siya."
KathNiel also shared how they've outgrown the phase of pettiness. "Hindi na seloso ngayon masyado po si DJ. Dati, ako rin mas selosa kaysa kay DJ. Pero before ('yun). Ngayon, mas chill na siya," Kathryn shared.
"Can't Help Falling In Love" is the sixth on-screen lead partnership of KathNiel. Kathryn and Daniel did "Must Be... Love", "Pagpag: Siyam Na Buhay", "She's Dating the Gangster", "Crazy Beautiful You", and "Barcelona: A Love Untold." They were also part of "24/7 In Love" and "Sisterakas".
"Can't Help Falling In Love" opens on Black Saturday, April 15, 2017.
