Meet our newest Golden Boy, Trenten Beram

Sure, we're all fired up to see Kobe Paras and Kiefer Ravena dominating Southeast Asian basketball at the ongoing SEA Games in Malaysia. But there's another Filipino athlete who is making heads turn in Kuala Lampur.

He has the right formula: good looks, great athleticism and a gold rush. This equation seems to come easy for our math major. Meet Trenten Anthony Beram, half-Filipino and half-American and winner of two gold medals at the 200 meters and 400 meters in Athletics.

At first glimpse and at the starting blocks, he easily stands out. Even Malaysian girls cheer for him. Then in the middle of his two races, he pulls away from the crowd, providing all of us a breathtaking view of how men (insert any rom-com soundtrack here) achieve gold and glory.

You gotta be honest that this is one of the exciting times na makihawak sa Philippine flag.

Ang bilis ni Kuya, momshie! Run away with him, bet?

Forgive our stalking skills as we only have few information from our man of the hour, so far. But we have the important details... swear!

Mr. Beram is only 21-years old and is studying Math at the University of Connecticut. He is enjoying dual citizenship, thus, the capacity to represent the Philippines in international contests. Trenten traces his Pinoy lineage to a Filipina mom who is from Cebu City.

With two stunning gold medal performances, he is schedule to add two more as he boosts the Filipinos chances at the 4x100 and the 4x400-meter relays. So, pom poms out!

Watch his winning performance at the 200 meters, below!
