The local show business is becoming the playground for Gabbi Garcia who is being featured in two magazine covers in a month: for Mega Magazine and Inside Showbiz. She just also released a dance single. It sounds so good, it will most likely be the next radio hit.
Her new song "All I Need" climbed to number three in iTunes Philippines a day after being released. The song, which she labeled as a "self-empowering" piece, is co-written by her fellow Kapuso artist Christian Bautista. Gabbi shared that they completed writing the song in just a few minutes.
The song has a smooth R&B vibe in it with a mix of EDM, the type of music that's making it big in online streaming apps today. But it isn't the kind of sound that Gabbi chose which makes the song interesting. Rather, it's how she put so much of her personal experiences through the lyrics. One line says "I'm done with you, being done with me." The next one says "It's time to prove that I'm all I need."
The young actress was quick to clear, however, that the song isn't referring to her semi-departure from her love team with Ruru Madrid. "It just came from personal experiences and the things that I've been through. It's a general feeling," she said. In fact, Ruru was among the firsts who congratulated her for her new single. She also remarked: "May GabRu pa din".
The journey to singing isn't really a surprise if you closely follow Gabbi. She was once a lead singer of a band with her younger sister. She has also been performing one production number after another in variety shows Sunday All-Stars and Sunday PinaSaya. And who could forget her role as the singing Sang'gre Alena in the remake of the hit primetime show Encantadia.
Another exciting thing to look forward to is her collaboration with Kapamilya actor Khalil Ramos who directed her song's music video in Hong Kong. Ramos owns a production house called Limitless and has decided to team-up with Gabbi creatively for the music video. The Artist Center talent proved further that she maintained a good relationship even with actors from the other network, receiving support from the likes of Julia Barretto who tweeted about the release of her new song.
The statuesque actress, who also dreams to join Binibining Pilipinas will walk the runway at the 30th Anniversary Show of Bench tagged "Under the Stars" at the MOA Arena in November. When asked if she's ready to go all sexy, she quipped: "Baby pa'ko. Mag na-19 pa lang ako. I just wanna enjoy (my youth) muna." Gabbi will be part of the denim group which will have her model the more wholesome apparel of the popular clothing line.
Gabbi Garcia described her 2017 as her best year. It looks like there will still be a lot of good things ahead for this beautiful Kapuso actress.
