Ces Drilon partners with Cong Alfred delos Santos for new radio show BASTA PROMDI, LODI

Award-winning broadcaster Ces Drilon pairs up with our youngest Congressman, 29-year old Alfred delos Santos of Ang Probinsyano party list, for advocacy radio show 'Basta PROMDI, LODI'. 

The radio show will premier on July 26 from 1:30 - 2:30 PM over RMN DZXL 558. It will also be streamed live on Facebook. 

The new radio show will address the many concerns in the provinces and in the countryside which, according to Drilon, has been set aside for so long with more government programs focused on Metro Manila and the bigger cities. "Binibigyang spotlight natin ang mga taga probinsya which makes this radio show different from other public service shows," she said. 

The other difference is that her partner, Congressman Alfred, will give it a more millennial flair. "The language will be a bit different. We can connect more to the millennials through Cong Alfred plus the fact that we will be streaming also on Facebook," said Ces Drilon who is not new to the online platforms herself since she's hosting a show on KUMU and present on YouTube with her own channel. 

For Congressman Alfred, a self-proclaimed probinsyano from Albay in Bicol, he has advocated the province-centric program after seeing the difference in terms of needs for government support between people in the city and the citizens from the province. "There is a stark difference between priorities and it would be wrong for us to assume that we can provide solutions for everyone with just one approach. Iba-iba ang mga problema depende sa kung saan ka, kaya andito ang programa para mas mabigyang pansin ang mga reklamo at daing ng mga taga probinsya." 

The show will premiere just in time before President Rodrigo Duterte's final State of the Nation Address on July 26 which the hosts say is a perfect opportunity to zoom in on issues from the countryside.
