The Philippines has crowned new queens that will represent this pageant-loving nation to 4 international beauty contests: Miss International, Miss Grand International, Miss Intercontinental and Miss Globe. But the spotlight weren't just given to the new queens. Netizens were also abuzz about the whole event which was the first pageant to be telecast live (emphasis on not recorded) during the pandemic. 

Pageant insiders saw this as an opportunity for Binibining Pilipinas to cement itself as the country's most-watched and most prestigious beauty pageant even after losing the franchise of what was once its biggest prize - the Miss Universe. Left with four international tilts (Miss Supranational will be chosen in Miss World Philippines starting this year), 'Binibini', as pageant fans fondly call it, staged a fast-paced and well-thought-out coronation night that was well appreciated by its mostly online audience.
