There is more to REVIRGINIZED than the vulgar scenes, says the Mega Star

There's more to the movie REVIRGINIZED than all the vulgarity that its trailers suggest. According to the Mega Star herself, the movie's uncharacteristically bold lead, all the unwholesome elements of the film are meant to draw the viewers' attention to something more important: midlife realizations, the rebirth of a woman, and finding connections in the most unlikely places.

The movie's original teaser material served its purpose, raking in 11 million views after it was first published on Facebook last July 4, 2021. All thanks to a surprising "body shot" scene done by Cuneta to her young leading man Marco Gumabao, and the introduction of underground terms to mainstream like "t*ti" (man's genetalia), and MILF (Mother I Love to F*ck) among others.

Coincidentally, the risky scenes also mark a big leap to the veteran actress' reinvention in a career that spans almost 4 decades. "I was told na why not be braver. So I went on and accept this film to do things that I have not done before," Cuneta shared. She added also that she is happy to be an instrument to help women who has the same life experiences as her character Carmela in dealing with real-life dilemmas.

Watch the rest of our interview with the Mega Star, her leading man Marco Gumabao and the movie's director Daryll Yap in the videos below.

REVIRGINIZED is now streaming on Viva Max.
