The KOREAN WAVE is getting bigger, as more Korean blockbuster movies and hit series premiere on VIVAMAX this September! Stay tuned for these K-bombs that will drop every Thursday this month.



Woo-Ram (Shin Seung-Ho), a young man busy preparing to get a job visits a small hamburger place where aspiring anchor Hyun-ji (Irene) works. He orders a double patty hamburger which is on sale at a “buy one, get one free” promo, but both customer and store clerk gets more than just a serving of burger.


Inmate Ik-Ho (Han Suk-Kyu) is considered as king in a prison facility where prisoners can go out and commit perfect crimes. He notices Yoo-Gun (Kim Rae-Won), a hot-tempered new inmate charged with several felonies. Ik-Ho eyes Yoo-Gun to be part of his schemes.


BJ Yagwang (Ryu Deok-Hwan) and PD Park (Jo Bok-Rae) are two live streamers who investigate horror stories and places. They try to investigate a video where a high school girl was calling a ghost and was playing hide-and-seek alone and then suddenly disappears. They went back to the place where the girl disappeared and streamed it live, and viewers got a glimpse of what real horror looks like.


So-Hee (Lee Jung-Hyun) is in the midst of enjoying her newlywed life with husband Man-Gil (Kim Sung-Oh). But she notices something different about his husband: he seems to be always busy and never rests, and it seems that he doesn’t act like a human at times. She hires someone to follow her husband and learns the unusual and dangerous side of her husband.


Set in the 1920s during the Japanese occupation of South Korea, Lee Jung-Chool (Song Kang-Ho) who works as a police officer for Japan is ordered to take down the Korean Independence group the Righteous Brotherhood. He gets close to art dealer Kim Woo-Jin (Gong Yoo) who is actually the regional leader of the Righteous Brotherhood. Both are well aware of each other’s true identities and intentions, but get closer to each other to seek out more information.


Best friends Jung So-yul (Han Hyo-joo) and Seo Yeon-hee (Chun Woo-hee) are two of the last remaining gisaeng during the Imperial Japanese occupation of Korea. Although they enjoy pop music, they are committed to singing jeongga, or classical Korean songs. But So-yul’s life falls apart when her lover, pop music producer Kim Yoon-woo (Yoo Yeon-seok) falls in love with Yeon-hee and helps her debut as a pop singer. 



Fearing a third world war situation, CIA Agent Mackenzie (Jennifer Ehle) recruits Ahab (Ha Jung-woo), the captain of an elite mercenary company named Black Lizard to infiltrate a secret underground bunker located 30 meters below the Korean Demilitarized Zone and take out a target. But the game changes when they found out,a little too late, who their target is.


Ji Hye (Son Ye-Jin) and Soo-Kyoung (Lee Tae-Kyung) are college friends who both have a crush on Sang-Min (Zo In-Sung), who is in their drama club. Soo-Kyoung asks Ji-Hye to write a love letter to Sang-Min for her. After writing the letter for her friend, Ji-Hye starts avoiding Sang-Min, but they always end up running into each other. Meanwhile, Ji-Hye discovered her mom’s memorabilia of her first love, and she will learn how she and Sang-Min are connected to this decade-old love story.


Hyung-Wook (Yu Hae-Jin), a known contract killer goes to a bathhouse to clean himself up after a job. Jae-Sung (Lee Joon), a broke and fledgling actor decides to end his life, but only after he cleans himself up, also goes to the bathhouse. When Hyung-Wook slips on a bar of soap, Jae-Sung, on the spur of the moment switches their locker keys. Hyung-Wook wakes up at the hospital and does not remember anything, even his name. With his items on the locker, he finds out his name is Jae-Sung. And the two men adjust to their new lives.


This program is recognized as the first “Real-Variety show” in Korean television history. The program takes on the satirical comedy aspect of a variety show rather than a standard reality or competition program, setting challenges that are often absurd or impossible to achieve. 



Former NIS Hitman Jun (Kwon Sang-woo), faked his own death to pursue his dream of becoming a webtoon artist. But in the past years, he keeps failing at making comics that actually sell. Drunk and frustrated, he starts drawing a comic about his glory days as a hitman, and posts it online and causes an uproar. Now the NIS and terrorists are after him, disturbing his peaceful everyday life.


A guerilla army unit led by Captain Lee Myung-Joon (Kim Myung-Min) and 772 student soldiers including Choi Sung-Pil (Minho) are on the ship Moonsanho, and their destination is Jangsari. Their mission is to deceive the North Koreans into thinking opposition forces would launch a decisive invasion there. The real invasion and battle will take place in Incheon one day later. The average age of the 772 student soldiers on the ship is 17 and they have had just 2 weeks of training. And their measly training will not prepare them for what awaits them in Jangsari.


Young-Min (Jo Jung-suk) and Mi-young (Shin Min-ah) are a young couple who got married after graduating from college. Following the honeymoon period, they begin to fight more and more. But as they struggle to make their marriage work, Young-Min and Mi-young slowly but surely start to understand what love really is.
