Just a few hours after he signed a management contract with Sparkle, 22-year old Anthony Constantino is already debunking assumptions about him. First, he is 100% Filipino with both his parents full-blooded Pinoy, and that modeling is only secondary for him. He is willing to pursue different fields after taking up 2 college degrees.
At first glance of his Instagram page, which now has more than 130 thousand followers, it would be easy to conclude that Anthony is blessed with hybrid Asian and foreign genes. He isn’t. In our late-night interview, Anthony laughed at how people assumes that he is a Filipino-American. His mom (a delos Reyes) and dad (a Constantino) are pure-blooded Filipinos from Bulacan before migrating to the United States where he was born and raised.
As for the 6’1” stature, and prominent facial structure, Anthony can make us believe that there is this blessed side of the Filipino lineage. “I am very proud to be representing the moreno boys here in the Philippines. I am just glad to bring in a different look,” he said.
Just six months in the Philippines after returning from the US, Anthony is overwhelmed with how things are picking up fast for him. He was initially offered modeling jobs but now, Sparkle has opened opportunities for him to do full showbiz work as he signs a talent management with them for three years. “It’s been less than a year and I am still trying to settle in but I am already excited for all the work opportunities,” he shared.
The whirlwind of modeling and entertainment work can be attributed to the huge amount of curiosity by Filipino fans to his attention-grabbing looks. But Anthony said that while he is thankful for the face and the body, he has so many other things to offer.

“I know that people are complimenting about my smile, about my abs, but I have so many other things to share to people, too. I am thankful for my looks, and I am grateful at how it is showing the way for me here in the Philippines. But I know time will come that we have to give people more. And I am excited for that to also unravel.”

While he is learning more Tagalog words, he is excited to be given hosting stints. “I have been complimented a lot about my voice. So I am really looking at hosting definitely.”
As to the actor that he looks up to, Anthony was quick to say good words about Donny Pangilinan. “I am being compared to him a lot in terms of the looks. But other than the looks, he is also tall, dark and handsome. But I also admire his upbringing. I know that he went to an international school, he wasn’t speaking Tagalog fully, and I admire the progression of his career.”
As for the status of his romance, Anthony shared that he just got out of a 1 year relationship and is currently enjoying singlehood. But would he date a fan? He emphasizes dating anyone who can meet his criteria. “If she is a nice person, and I genuinely like the person, yes, I’m not gonna cancel out of that.”

While thankful for his natural good looks, Anthony is also not against about surgical enhancements. “I am not gonna say don’t do it. Personally for me, I never needed enhancements and I am very confident in the way that I look and feel. I am very happy with that. But you should do whatever makes you happy and confident. Confidence is something that everyone deserves. And if you are able to get confidence from a better nose and a better cheekbones, a better face, and if that brings better joy to you then you should do it,” he articulated.
To the fans who are excited to see him on more shows and productions, Anthony promises to do his best. “I know that this industry can be crowded. But I will do what I can to not just entertain but also to inspire people.”
