Brazilian Isabela Fernandes captured her country’s second crown in the oldest international beauty tilt that is based in Manila. Now Miss Asia Pacific International, the global beauty contest held the finals night of its 42nd edition at the Cebu Colesium in Cebu City last October 8.
Runner-up to Miss Brazil is the Filipina representative Anita Rose Gomez, Miss Universe Philippines Top 10 finalist in 2024, and also that night’s winner of Best in Swimsuit.
Completing the list of winners are Bowomrat Maneerat of Thailand as the Second Runner-up, Jana Jannsens of Belgium as the Third Runner-up and Delilah Almira Wildboer of Netherlands as the Fourth Runner-Up.
It was a fierce battle between the top 3 contestants as the Brazilian beauty won Best in Gown after the Filipina beauty won Best in Swimsuit. Miss Thailand won Best in National Costume.
The last time Brazil won the Miss Asia Pacific International crown was in 2017 with Francielly Ouriques. Meanwhile, there are already 5 Filipinas winners in the pageant’s long history Maria del Carmen Ines Zaragoza in 1982, Gloria Dimayacyac in 1983, Lorna Legaspi in 1989, Michelle Aldana in 1993 and Sharifa Akeel in 2018.
For the 2025 edition, the Continental Queens are Michelle Whilar Lazarte of Peru for the Americas, Aisyah Amini of Indonesia for Asia, Delilah Wildeboer of Netherlands for Europe and Bejandri Laurens of South Africa for Africa. Hannah Leigh Cross of New Zealand is the Continental Queen for Oceania.
