Beauty pageant fans are excited about the news on Pia Wurtzbach's involvement in the fifth season of Asia's Next Top Model. The current Miss Universe is said to be the next host. This information remains to be a rumor, however, as no one from the AsNTM team nor Pia herself has confirmed it.
The unofficial and fan-based Twitter account of the reality show, which has been reporting accurate updates about the show for the past four years, dismissed all talks on Wednesday, saying that the news "is fake" and that "production is still in talks".
But Pia fans don't despair. It seemed like the show is really considering tapping Wurtzbach to host the next season to help boost the show's popularity. Pia is quick in responding to false information about her previous projects but has remained mum about her participation in AsNTM 5.

The show is set to return early next year. Malaysian Nadya Hutagalung hosted the first and second seasons while Georgina Wilson is the first Filipina to have hosted the show for season three. Thai Cindy Bishop, meanwhile, hosted the fourth season.
