Puregold’s CinePanalo returns on its second year with more mainstream artists specifically in its eight (8) full-length films. Starring are KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad, JC Santos, Khalil Ramos, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Jameson Blake, Kira Balinger, Janella Salvador, RK Bagatsing, Romnick Sarmienta, and Allen Dizon.
The film festival also has 24 short films which, together with the full-length films, will be shown in Gateway Mall from March 14 to 25, 2025.
In the festival, each of the 8 feature films were given grants of 3 million pesos. While the 24 short films were awarded with P150,000 each. The difference between CinePanalo from the other festivals is that they cater only and focus on stories that are uplifting and inspiring. This year, they are guided by the theme “Mga Kwentong Panalo ng Buhay.”
The 8 feature films are Sepak Takraw (Enzo Osorio, Nicole Castillo, Ruby Ruiz and Acey Aguilar), Olsen’s Day (Khalil Ramos, Romnick Sarmienta and Xander Nuda), Tigkiliwi (Ruby Ruiz and Gabby Padilla), and Jouneyman (JC Santos and Jasmin Curtis-Smith).
Also part of the festival are Salum (Allen Dizon, Christine Mary Dimaisip), Co-Love (KD Estrada, Alexa Ilacad, Jameson Blake and Kira Balinger), Food Delivery: Fresh from the Philippine Sea, and Fleeting (Janella Salvador and RK Bagatsing).
